Behind the Seams- "The Modern Wedge"
The "Modern Wedge" was designed with the modern style home in mind. This quilt uses soft colors, non-traditional style blocks, straight lines, and a cotton/linen blend of fabrics.
One of the blocks is set different than all the rest. It is a statement to be different and be set apart than everyone else, to live the life you were created for.
This pattern uses a wedge ruler to cut the pieces instead of the typical straight line ruler.
The fabrics I chose were a soft color palette to create a calming effect. I chose a heavy weight cotton/linen blend fabric to create that feeling of luxury with its heavy yet breathable weight.
The inside batting is a heavy weight blend of cotton/wool. It almost acts as a weighted blanket, bringing a sense of peace and calm when snuggled under it. The batting inside was chosen for its easy to care for washing and drying.
The top quilting is a calming straight line stitch, so it is not too busy in a modern bedroom setting.
It is available in 3 colorways- Pink, Blue, and Natural in Baby- King sizes.
