Behind the Seams - The Strip Quilts/Children's Collection

The Strip quilts are closely related to "Guatemala Meets America" in their strip size but made using kid prints and a different color scheme.

I wanted to create a quilt that kids would find appealing but that would also go with their nursery or bedroom and still be beautiful for mom.

I made a few variations which include:

Floral prints in a purple colorway

Pink flowers with pink, purple and white solids

Elephants kissing with pink and yellow solid fabrics

Swans kissing with purples, blues, and white solid fabrics

Turtles with greens and a contrasting orange solid fabrics

Construction Trucks with small prints of blues, greens and grey

and of course an Organic Cotton option of Safari animals with a mix of rainbow solid colors

I chose a swirl and loop pattern that I guided by hand on the long-arm to create a whimsical design down the strips.

Inside the baby, lap, twin and queen sizes are a cotton/polyester blend that is warm, yet lightweight making it perfect for breathability for new babies and a great option for warmer days.

The Crib size has cotton/wool blend for added warmth for toddlers since it might be the only blanket in the crib.

If you have little ones in your life any of these designs would surely bring delight.
